Local contractor to start installation next week
11th August 2016: Footpath lighting is to be improved at Westlakes Science & Technology Park with a new energy efficient solution.
Michael Pemberton, CEO of Britain’s Energy Coast (BEC) who own and operate Westlakes Science & Technology Park commented: “We are keen to improve the site for those who walk between different buildings and car parks, as well as those who use the paths for a lunchtime stroll or post-work run, and upgrading the footpaths to include lighting will really help during the winter months. We have also specified an environmentally friendly system as part of our commitment to reducing the carbon footprint for the site.”
Local electrical firm, Bewleys, assisted BEC in selecting an energy efficient photocell controlled LED lighting system that also offers a high light output to better improve visibility on the footpaths.
Work will start next week (16th August) to install the lights on the main footpaths crossing the site and will take approximately two weeks.
