Britain’s Energy Coast seeks ambitious Finance Apprentice
Are you looking for an apprentice role where you can learn great financial skills, join an ambitious team and make a difference to your area?
Britain’s Energy Coast is seeking a Finance Apprentice. You’ll assist with day-to-day financial processing duties and work closely with the existing friendly team to monitor and control the company’s finances.
On a typical day you could be processing and paying invoices, recording receipts and payments, or preparing and checking ledger balances. Once you get a bit more experience under your belt the role could see you preparing financial reports and helping to plan budgets.
Britain’s Energy Coast is a property company with a difference – the profits we make from our property development and commercial office lettings fund projects that help communities in Allerdale and Copeland, principally in the low carbon space. The finance department has a vital role in this and by working with us, you’ll get to contribute to improving the environment around you.
We’ll offer you great training, support, and space to grow your role. BEC’s apprenticeship programme allows a period of study and you can work towards your Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 or 3 qualification.
So what are we looking for in our new team member? The most important thing is an interest in pursuing a career in finance and business. We are also looking for someone with a minimum of five GCSE’s at Grade A-C including Maths and English, and good IT skills.
As a company, we set high standards of performance and ethical behaviours. The following corporate valued behaviours underpin the working environment at BEC and assist us in delivering our vision.
If that sounds like the right environment for you – get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org for a full job description, an application form and a copy of our behaviours.
The role will be based at Westlakes Science & Technology Park, Moor Row initially, and then will move to Cleator Moor in the new year. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 9th November 2016.
